Dr. Peterson is board-certified in naturopathic oncology and a fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology. He is one of very few hospital trained naturopathic physicians who specializes in Integrative Oncology. During your cancer treatment DrPeterson works with your oncologist to deliver safe and effective integrative care that does not interfere with your conventional cancer treatment. Once you have completed your treatment, the focus and strategies shift to become centered around recovery, reducing recurrence and restoring optimal health and wellness.

Dr. Peterson earned a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Med from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Peterson completed a specialized two-year naturopathic oncology residency at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, Illinois and subsequently joined the hospital as staff until relocating back to Seattle. Additionally, Dr. Peterson has expertise and clinical experience in working with patients who have hematologic malignancies and with patients undergoing, or who have undergone, bone marrow transplants. Dr. Peterson is an Adjunct Clinic Faculty member at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, the teaching clinic of Bastyr University, where he supervises students on Integrative Oncology rotations.
